Movie news… from A to Z

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse – record breaking opening

Well, I have no intentions of seeing The Twilight Saga: Eclipse myself, but luckily it appears to be doing just fine without me.  Eclipse kicked some major ass in its opening night.  In fact, it broke the midnight opening record and made $30M from midnight viewings on Wednesday.  As it turns out, the previous midnight record was set by another movie in the Twilight Saga: New Moon with $26.3M.  People who like these movies say that this is the best of the three in the saga.  Plus, we’re approaching a holiday weekend and Team Edward, Team Jacob, and Team Bella (is there such a thing?) will be out in full force, so get ready for some ginormous, record-breaking numbers from Eclipse.
