Salt Movie Game: Day X Exists – Mission 7

Here’s a hint for solving Mission 7: Stealth of the Salt Day X Exists game.

  1. The clue letters are slightly grayed out in the mission report.  The letters I found are:
    window 1 (E, P), window 2 (R, E), window 3 (E, S), and window 4 (L).
  2. Then just unscramble the letters to form the clueword.  Hint: The word starts an S and ends with an R and it means double agent, informer, or operative.

Good luck!

Salt Movie Game: Day X Exists – Mission 8, part II

Here’s a hint for solving Mission 8: Sniper of the Salt Day X Exists game.  These hints pertain to the Mission 8 mission report.  Click here to view the hints for solving the Mission 8 Sniper game.

  1. The clue letters are slightly grayed out in the mission report.  The letters I found are:
    window 1 (F), window 2 (C), and window 3 (L).
  2. Window 4 does not include a clue letter, but it includes ROT13 in light blue font at the end of the report.  ROT13 is a converter.
  3. Go to www.ROT13.com and plug in the three letters from the mission report.  This will decipher the code and give you the correct cluecode.

Salt Movie Game: Day X Exists – Mission 9, part II

Here’s part II of Mission 9 of the Salt Day X Exists game.  I previously posted some tips about beating the game portion here: Shootout, but this post is about deciphering the Mission Code.

  1. The clue letters are underlined in the mission report.  The letters I came up with are:
    window 1 (F), window 2 (J, N), window 3 (N, X) and window 4 (R, A)
  2. At the end of the message in window 4, you will see ROT13 in light blue font (this was also visible in the report in mission #8).  At first I thought it was some weird error, but I looked it up on Google and discovered that it was actually a type of converter.
  3. So… go to www.ROT13.com and plug in the seven letters from the mission report.  This will decipher the code and give you the correct letters you need.
  4. Then, unscramble those letters to come up with the clue word.  Hint: The word starts with an A and ends with an S, and it’s the opposite of “goes to sleep”.

Hope this helps you!

Salt Movie Game: Day X Exists – Mission 9

If you have been playing the Day X Exists game that goes with the movie Salt, here are some tips to help you with playing the game portion of Mission 9: Shootout.  Note: This posting is not about the mission report cluecode.

Please leave me a comment if these tips helped you. Thanks!

There are three levels to the game:

  • Level 1 has three operatives. The one in the middle appears to be the sharpest shot, so you might want to take him out first.
  • Level 2 has five operatives. The one way in the back is the toughest.
  • Level 3 has six operatives. The one in the upper right is the most difficult.

Some general tips:

  • You start with five bars of energy. When you have one bar left, you will hear your heart beating. When no bars are left, it beats faster and louder. If you get hit the sixth time, the game ends.
  • Wait for an operative to shoot, then press the space bar to take a peak.
  • Remember to periodically press your space bar to take cover and to reload.
  • If you hit an operative in the body, it takes three shots to kill him; however, if you get a head shot, you can take him out in one shot.
  • There is no time limit, so don’t rush. Take your time and aim.
  • Body shots are 250 points and head shots are 500.  But the more operatives you can shoot in the head in a row, the more points you can accumulate.

After playing a few times, I was eventually able to get every operative in the game in one shot each and scored 52,500 points.  Have you figured out how to score more?

Movie Game: The Sorcerer’s Apprentice

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice starring Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel is set to be released on Wednesday, July 14.  In the meantime, you can play the online game, Fiery Frenzy, at the official movie site.

You can enter the phrase MERLIN10 at any time to unlock game cheat codes, which will cause your life force to slowly regenerate as you play, but it’s not really necessary to use it.

There are eight Training levels that include opponents such as an eagle, spiders, and a dragon.  Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move your character back and forth and hold the space bar to shoot the weapons.  The opponents gradually become more difficult to beat but overall they’re pretty easy to defeat.  Only the last creature in the training level, the mummy, is difficult to beat; it took me about five tries. After you beat all opponents at the training level, you have to beat your final opponent, Balthazar.

If you want more of a challenge, you can play the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Nintendo DS game.
