M. Night’s Site part II

As promised, here are some additional hints for opening doors in the haunted house found in M. Night Shyamalan’s official web site.  Use your arrow keys to move around or click the little white dots on the red line at the bottom of the page to jump to particular areas in the house. You need to have Flash loaded to view the site correctly.

From the first floor, click the correct white dot on the red line at the bottom of the screen to get to the second floor. Here’s how I opened the doors to the rooms on the second floor. When you open the doors, click on items in the rooms to see notes from M. Night about his movies, the actors, etc. For each room, click the raven to exit.

  • Lounge: On the bookcase to the left, tilt the book over on the fourth shelf down.
  • Study: Click the key on the floor and drag it to the key hole in the door.
  • Attic: Click the attic door in the ceiling. This was still being built when I visited the site.

M. Night’s Site

Speaking of M. Night Shyamalan, click here to view his official web site.  Not surprisingly, it has a haunted house theme. Use your arrow keys to move around or click the little white dots on the red line at the bottom of the page to jump to particular areas in the house. You can click on certain items for additional information (Hint: Look for the little puffs of smoke). You need to have Flash loaded to view the site correctly.

On the first floor, click white dots on the red line to view doors for certain M. Night movie titles. When you open the doors, you can click on items in the rooms to see notes about the movies from M. Night. Here’s how I opened the doors. For each room, click the raven to ext.

  • Sixth Sense room: Click the dial on the thermostat on the wall and drag the dial all the way to the left.
  • Signs: Click the glass of water on the table and drag it to the left to tip the glass and spill the water.
  • Unbreakable: Click the shard of glass on the table and place it in the correct spot in the broken mirror .
  • Lady in the Water: Click the five designs on the wallpaper to open the door. There are three designs to the left of the door and two to the right.
  • The Village: Click the handle of the paint brush in the bucket of the red paint. Drag the brush over to the door and paint a red mark on the door to open it.
  • The Happening: Click the floor vase on the left and drag it over to the puddle so water dripping down can water the plant.

I will post some hints for opening the doors on the second floor in a later posting.

Salt Movie Game: Day X Exists – Mission 7

Here’s a hint for solving Mission 7: Stealth of the Salt Day X Exists game.

    1. The clue letters are slightly grayed out in the mission report.  The letters I found are:
      window 1 (E, P), window 2 (R, E), window 3 (E, S), and window 4 (L).
    2. Then just unscramble the letters to form the clueword.  Hint: The word starts an S and ends with an R and it means double agent, informer, or operative.

    Good luck!

Salt Movie Game: Day X Exists – Mission 8, part II

Here’s a hint for solving Mission 8: Sniper of the Salt Day X Exists game.  These hints pertain to the Mission 8 mission report.  Click here to view the hints for solving the Mission 8 Sniper game.

    1. The clue letters are slightly grayed out in the mission report.  The letters I found are:
      window 1 (F), window 2 (C), and window 3 (L).
    2. Window 4 does not include a clue letter, but it includes ROT13 in light blue font at the end of the report.  ROT13 is a converter.
    3. Go to www.ROT13.com and plug in the three letters from the mission report.  This will decipher the code and give you the correct cluecode.

Salt Movie Game: Day X Exists – Mission 9, part II

Here’s part II of Mission 9 of the Salt Day X Exists game.  I previously posted some tips about beating the game portion here: Shootout, but this post is about deciphering the Mission Code.

    1. The clue letters are underlined in the mission report.  The letters I came up with are:
      window 1 (F), window 2 (J, N), window 3 (N, X) and window 4 (R, A)
    2. At the end of the message in window 4, you will see ROT13 in light blue font (this was also visible in the report in mission #8).  At first I thought it was some weird error, but I looked it up on Google and discovered that it was actually a type of converter.
    3. So… go to www.ROT13.com and plug in the seven letters from the mission report.  This will decipher the code and give you the correct letters you need.
    4. Then, unscramble those letters to come up with the clue word.  Hint: The word starts with an A and ends with an S, and it’s the opposite of “goes to sleep”.

    Hope this helps you!

Salt Movie Game: Day X Exists – Mission 9

If you have been playing the Day X Exists game that goes with the movie Salt, here are some tips to help you with playing the game portion of Mission 9: Shootout.  Note: This posting is not about the mission report cluecode.

Please leave me a comment if these tips helped you. Thanks!

There are three levels to the game:

    • Level 1 has three operatives. The one in the middle appears to be the sharpest shot, so you might want to take him out first.
    • Level 2 has five operatives. The one way in the back is the toughest.
    • Level 3 has six operatives. The one in the upper right is the most difficult.

    Some general tips:

    • You start with five bars of energy. When you have one bar left, you will hear your heart beating. When no bars are left, it beats faster and louder. If you get hit the sixth time, the game ends.
    • Wait for an operative to shoot, then press the space bar to take a peak.
    • Remember to periodically press your space bar to take cover and to reload.
    • If you hit an operative in the body, it takes three shots to kill him; however, if you get a head shot, you can take him out in one shot.
    • There is no time limit, so don’t rush. Take your time and aim.
    • Body shots are 250 points and head shots are 500.  But the more operatives you can shoot in the head in a row, the more points you can accumulate.

After playing a few times, I was eventually able to get every operative in the game in one shot each and scored 52,500 points.  Have you figured out how to score more?

Salt Movie Game: Day X Exists – Mission 8

If you have been playing the Day X Exists game that goes with the movie Salt, here is how I finally beat Mission 8: Sniper.  These hints only pertain to the Sniper game.  Click here to view the hints for solving the Mission 8 mission report.

Please leave me a comment if these hints helped you. Thanks!

    Mission 8 Sniper game hints:

    1. First, get the man who walks in from the right side of the screen.  HINT: Zoom in on the fence door and just wait for him to get there.
    2. Fire at the dog sign to make the dog bark, and then immediately zoom in near the door of the building. When the man steps outside, take him down.  HINT: If you miss the man and he goes back in the building, just fire at the dog sign again.
    3. When there are two men left, get the one on the left first.  The lights will go out and the fourth man will run out of the building.
    4. Immediately zoom in on the container that’s hanging above the fence door.
    5. Listen closely and wait until you hear the fence door squeak as the man opens it (it takes 2-3 seconds from the time the lights go out). HINT: Aim at the clip above the container that is holding the ropes. If you hit the clip just right, the box will drop down on the man as he tries to go through the fence door.

HINT: Remember to press the space bar to keep zooming in and out.  Also, aim for the body; you do not have to get the men in their heads.

Salt Movie Game: Day X Exists – Mission 6

For those of you playing the Day X Exists game that goes with the movie Salt, here is how I found the clue code for Mission 6: Tracer.

Please leave me a comment if this hint helped you. Thanks!

Solving the clue for this mission report was the most difficult so far.  The other mission reports had letters that were grayed out, which you could unscramble to form a word.  But in this mission, the letters are more difficult to find.  Instead of them being grayed out, they are just slightly larger than the other letters – you have to look very closely to see the difference.  The letters I came up with were IGRN.  Just unscramble those letters to form the clue word.

    HINT: It starts with R.
